How often should you wash your beard?
Two to three times a week with a sulfate-free beard wash is right for most men. Wash daily only if the beard sees sweat, dust or a kitchen, and follow every wash with beard oil while the beard is still damp.
What does beard oil actually do?
Beard oil hydrates the hair and, more importantly, the skin under it, which is where itch, flakes and dryness start. Used daily on a damp beard, it softens coarse hair, calms the skin and leaves a light scent. It does not add hold; that is the job of butter or balm.
